Title: sowing seeds
Post by: nippie on February 20, 2007, 11:28:09
Ten days ago I planted tomato seeds, geranium seeds and salvia seeds.
I have had almost 100% germination of the geraniums and 1 tomato so far. I'm sure the others will follow soon  ;D

My geraniums took months last year.   :(

Got hundreds of 'em from one packet though, in the end... :)

Are they in a heated propagator?  If so I would have expected the toms to be up but could still be ok.  Not sure about the others.

;D Hi Nippie,I've just sown my tomatoe seeds Garden delight and Money Maker in what we get our chines food in,they are the flat clear plastic type with a lid,all I do is then put them on a shelf in the sun somewhere, mother nature does the rest. I hope that was of some help.
May you and yours and what you grow live long and happy. John. J.R.P.  ;D

Or s/mkt strawberry etc boxes with ready made holes in the bottom?

Take away ones are just the right size for frozen leftovers.

Just knew I should have saved some. I've just had the seed swap parcel and have taken small amounts of some seeds. greenhouse (small) arrangements would have been much easier with some little rectangular containers. Think I'll have a ring round some friends tomorrow............ ;)
