Post by: teresa on September 03, 2003, 19:58:18
Have made a make shift pond a large shallow plant pot with stones in the bottom weeds and a plank (small) for them to get out. At the moment its covered with twigs some protection. Baby frogs on lottie but so are grass snakes at least I think they are grass snakes only saw one BBQ it got fried when the kind gent lit the darn thing for me. What do I do next for spring I have elephant ears bit small now but going in should I cover with logs? Help Teresa

Sorry,Teresa ,for some reason I never picked up on this message. Not sure what you mean by elephant ears.Whatever you provide for the frogs will freeze solid come the very cold,so not a good idea to encourage them into a shallow pot.I suggest you build a nice mound with the logs so that there is plenty of shelter well inside, and then keep them damp.I am sure by next spring you will be digging them a proper pond!!
