the best books i find that work alot are the expert gardening books by Dr D.G. Hessayon, they have loads of good tips ang plenty of info, i reccomend them to anyone! :) ;) :D ;D

I agree Danny - I have one of these books, very compact and full of good info :)

I agree they have lots of good basic information.

As an organic gardener who uses beds the bits on spacing and the use of chemicals I ignore those bits - I use the Beds book from HDRA on spacing

I like reading Bob Flowerdew's books. He has an evil (but organic) sense of humour - he is also good fun on Radio 4's Gardeners Question Time - this can be listened to at anytime on the BBC website.
