First time I've ever seen these little beauties in the garden!! Snowstorm must have brought them in. Wonderful !! 2 pairs ;D

No, Di, but an occasional look through the binoculars when the trout aren`t biting does help to broaden one`s horizons.

I would have seen those and though "Nice sparrows" *sigh* must read up more on birds!
We have ring necked parakeets round our way - there's a big flock of them in Richmond, and they're spreading!!!

We've parakeets here in SELondon as well, just one pair though.
Pleased to report that a pair of long-tailed tits have taken up local residency as well.
