Title: How Do They Get Away With It?
Post by: Svengali on April 23, 2006, 19:04:31
Just about every consumable product we buy, for the garden, or any other part of life, is bought by weight or volume - But not growbags.
Why should they be any different? It is impossible to compare value when we don't have this detail, and I am quite certain that they have been getting smaller, from some outfits, year on year.
What devious marketing loophole are the manufacturers able to exploit in order to keep this information from us?

If you bought bags by weight, you would - or could - be buying water.

Much better to buy litres??

And when folk look for (elsewhere today) the 'cheapest' bag, that can mean 35l against65l?  No wonder they are cheaper!!

Slightly off topic but I get annoyed that petrol stations can get away with selling fuel @ .9 of a penny ::)  I wonder if I could write them a cheque with that amount in it >:( GRRRR!!! >:(
