Title: Courgettes - silvery markings on leaves
Post by: snuffyzee on June 23, 2003, 00:10:01
Hello all, hope you may be able to help me out. I've got 2 sets of courgettes, some on the windowsill about to go in the bed and some I planted direct into the bed. The ones seeded in the bed have much larger leaves than the others and also have a pretty silvery pattern. What is it and why don't the courgettes on the windowsill have it?

Thank you for any info. ???

Hello

Mine have silver marks on the leaves too but I have been told that it is nothing to worry about as it wont affect the plant. I think it is because they are in the sun and the top part of the leaf membrain comes away from the bottom part because it is so hot.

Hope this is of some help?
K

Oh good, that's reassuring, I was starting to think they were diseased. But they look quite healthy so I'm sure there will be courgettes for tea soon! Thanks K.
