Well there is a Wilkinsons here in Coventry, they are a national chain actually. I nipped in again to get some onion seed - Ailsa Craig, grrr they are sold out of most seeds. I hope they restock after the holiday period is over. I want to get my onions sown within the next fortnight.

That is very kind of you Alishka, and I do appreciate the gesture, but I really want to have a browse, as I will choose a few different varieties. I dont get out much at all, so it is good motivation for me  :) I work quite close to the store, so can pop up at lunchtimes to take a peek.

Yep I'm back to the grind today (although not working TOO hard as you can tell!) and there's a Wilko's within walking distance of my office but I must keep repeating 'I WILL NOT BUY MORE SEEDS I WILL NOT BUY MORE SEEDS' when I go out at lunchtime as I've already got as much and probably more than I can possibly use
Plottie
(retreats muttering 'I will not buy more seeds, I will not buy more seeds')

Have a look at http://www.wilko.co.uk/stores

Doesn't look like any in Scotland or SW England.

We have one in sunny Farnborough which I potter about in at lunchtimes (not much else to do in F'boro) and have to admit, had big success with germination/cultivation of their seeds/onion sets and garlic.  All except their tarragon which grew very nicely but was completely odourless and tasteless.
