Post by: redimp on December 31, 2005, 15:12:56: Apart from the fact that the new year began on 22 December and the switch from 2005-2006 is an entirely artificial trick of the calendar all such dates ending in 05 or 2005 seem to have been completey sh*t unless they involved the allotment so I am quite looking forward to seeing the back of this calendar year and having a much better 2006 - and may it please hurry up because I am still having 2005 problems planning next term and with Mansfield away on Monday, that does not leave me much time.

Happy New Year to everybody else - like Max I will most probably be in bed.

Hubbie and I have bought masses amounts of M&S chinese for supper which, along with a bottle (or two) of something fizzy, will see us through possibly to midnight.

Dancing in the streets and kissing people you wouldn't normally swap names with, let alone saliva, doesn't appeal. Am leaving all that to eldest daughter now.... although not too much kissing I hope!! ;)

I'm quite happy to go along with December 22nd as new year too..............................I'm not a fan of new year, won't be going out and will probably be asleep until the fireworks wake me up......................what a total misery I am..........................................think I should adopt Baggys attitude..............BRING IT ON. ;)

Went to panto in pub last night and got a bit drunk so have been delicate all day but had to go to a kid's birthday party (oh gawd) I only drank tea with my meal. Have foolishly agreed to go to a party tonight and then afterwards to the pub but my sister pointed out that I said I was going to hers. I just want to get my head down and not open my eyes til 2006 zzzzzzzzz I will take camera to pub tonight and post pics tomorrow if suitable ;D

You know just when you are drifting into that drink induced mmmmmm sleep. OH got up at 7 as cat was bouncing on his head. Fed cat. Cat barfed up on lounge rug (we only have one rug in the whole of the dowstars which happens to be cream colour, not cat sick colour). Chuched cat out. Came back to bed. Cat barfed on decking. Let cat in. Cat barfed under kitchen table. Caught cat, his belly still doing the Mexican wave, and chucked him in the sink in the downstairs loo. Cat barfed in sink. Just how much can they hold !!
Cat now empty and sulking upstairs. Aren't pets great ?

I think he planned it - sitting there alone in his basket with his party hat on, squeaker in mouth, just waiting for the midnight chimes so he could "bring the new year in" Russ style. I bet he had a right chortle when we all piled in from pub straight into it. Cor blimey don't it spread!! Had to bung the long hall runner in the washer this morning >:(

After the rest of the family were finally on the road to recovery, I took a dive and have had the WORST 24 hours of sickness of my life! Give me childbirth any day! Anyhows, am feeling weak and feeble, but a little better, sipping water and occassionally chewing on a dry cracker. BLLEEUUGHHH! Thanks for all of your kind wishes, you are a lovely bunch!

Glad everyone had a great night - loads of fireworks, more than November 5th I reakon! Woke us all up. So, wonder what 2006 will bring..................................

My son has very carefully managed to reformat and reinstall, but I have lost so much data ... still worst things happen I guess, I am lucky that my son was able to reset everything.

We didn't have dinner until 2.30am have just come home and feel like I never want to eat again!!!! Nice to have few of the family together again. No brandy today only wine with dinner.
