Title: What to do with this Weather
Post by: WASSISNAME on November 07, 2005, 21:21:43
My water lilies are still sending up buds, but they don't open, and leaves are still surfacing. . Should they all be cut back now or wait until the weather gets colder??

If the leaves turn yellow and start getting black, rotting patches then yes ,remove them but while they are still green it is ok to leave them.Odd that you are still getting buds. All mine stay now on the bottom of the ponds all year round,i have discovered they do much better that way.I only remove the leaves, even in winter,if they look manky.

Thanks Margaret, the weather is stil very mild here and thats probably why the  buds are surfacing but there is not enough sun for them to open, thats my theory anyway ::)
