Title: Thornless Blackberry "Hull"

I have bought one of these today as not much choice at the garden centre

Anyone have it and is it any good?

Never heard of it personally. Thought most had Scottish names? Is Waldo Scottish?

Found this info - seems to be grown in USA:
Semi-erect, large, firm berries with good keeping quality. Virus yested principally in Maryland and Ohio
A true thornless variety (i.e. should not revert like my canes did) When tested for anti-oxidants at  Fruit Laboratory,  Beltsville, Maryland USA, The 'Hull Thornless' cultivar contained the highest levels, whereas 'Black Satin' consistently had the lowest activities for all the enzymes tested in this study. In USA they are slow to break bud and remain dormant later into the spring.
Can't find anything on taste though!

its says "Hull" it has to be good only good things come from Hull!!!


except people making TV programes with no knowledge of the place !!!
