Title: Purple Tomatillo
Post by: Mrs Ava on November 15, 2003, 16:19:53
I have been given a packet of tomatillo seeds - so have been on Google to see what they are and what I do with them.  Having read pages, I am pretty much none the wiser other than they appear to be like the chinese lantern thingys I love to grow.  Has anyone else had any experience of growing them, and once I have them...what do I do with them?!?

Close relatives of tomatoes and can be really prolific. Tomatillos are the main ingredient for 'salsa verde' (literally, green sauce), much used in Mexican cooking, which is a good way of using up large amounts of them.
