What eats the fruit?
One of ours has been devastated and literally eaten overnight......

Rats devoured eight of my squash stored in my shed last year.  :(  I am going to store them in the garage this year.

I've taken some small creamy coloured slugs off my Marina di Chioggia  :o :o  I put a box with slug pellets in it under it so hopefully that will do the trick.

Biggest pumpkin pest?

My mum!

 ::)

Came back from holiday to find that:

a) Pumpkin on allotment had been stolen/vandalised.
b) Pumpkin in back garden had been de-nuded by my mum... 'lovely cougettes, dear' !!!
c) Courgette plants in back garden (to which mum had been physically steered, pre-holiday) had round courgettes the size of footballs on them.

 :'(

AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about the lottie pumpkins Gadfium.  I was hoping they weren't really a target til Halloween and could be lifted before then.
