::) does any one have any good, preferably organic, ways for cleaning filthy dirty demijons?
-
I got myself a proper brush. But have also used: (all sepArately)
Hot vinegar.
Bicarbonate of soda.
Ball bearings, swizzled around (small ones) and
Grit swizzled around
with plenty of hot water.
gets in all the nooks and crannies, but a lot of swizzling involved.

My other half uses sand a couple of cups of it and hot suds and swish around after that clean with milton.

The sediment is yeast and milton will kill it. A little sand in the air lock and demijon is great for removing deposits.
Milton is wonderful stuff. ;)
