Was it rocket perhaps?
Which is sort of similar looking to a dandelion?

Could be mustard? Rounder leaf with serrated edges - could be reddish?

Also could be nasturtian if the leaf has an roundish shape.

I'd vote nasturtium definitely - I've just been and looked at a leaf of mine and its exactly the same, with the slightly bubbly edge (you know what I mean) and on a wiggly stem.  Never make a professional plant describer me!

Hi All - thanks for your suggestions.  Only just seen them as been away camping all weekend.  Definately not nasturtium as grow loads of them so know leaf well (although never tried eating one).

Difficult to tell from the slightly fuzzy picture but it looks like Mizuna.  This certainly has a slightly peppery/mustard taste and is commonly grown commercially for packs of salad.  Try looking at packs of washed salad in your local supermarket and you should find it.

Unlikely to be rocket for that is very strongly flavoured - of soap if you ask me... yeuch!

It was certainly not strongly flavoured.  I am sure I have had rocket before and thought yeuch - too bitter.  This one was gorgeous. Macro button on camera does not appear to be working hence the fuzzy picture.  ::)

btw - welcome to A4A Icyberjunkie!
