Title: nifty little heat mat
Post by: ACE on December 17, 2020, 08:11:09
I often browse the amazon lightning deals for bargains. This little heat mat came up for a fiver. Cheaper than a small lightbulb to run and will fit on my conservatory window sills. Just enough to warm a couple of half size seed trays to start the toms and peppers. I'll let you know if it is worth the fiver, it's only a pint wasted if it isn't.

Two pints up here ACE... but still a good idea, let us know if it's any good!

No idea about the price of a pint here and no Amazon bargain days in France that I can find but, thanks ACE for the idea.  A 20€ heat mat has been ordered and should arrive in time for Xmas and thus in time to sow my chillies in January.

Good advice but here they are built in to the fuse box and the appropriate circuit will trip at the slightest danger.

I use several larger ones off these in my barely frost free greenhouse, find they work really well providing bottom heat. Particularly good for hardening off pricked out seedlings....
