They're not goldfinches.  I think that they maybe be redpolls!

Thank you Flighty, you're right they are Redpolls just looked them up.
Although I have to admit I've never heard of them before.

You're welcome! And lucky as they're a fairly unusual sighting. I've never seen any.

Ive just seen this.....you lucky thing Gertie. I haven't seen a Redpoll in the flesh, great pic  :icon_thumright:
