I sowed some sweet peas on Christmas Day and they are keeping me amused. Too cold to go to allotment. Tier 4 now. Nowhere else to go!! Virus numbers going up here like crazy. At beginning of Dec we had less then 3 cases now we are turned purple.
So what else can I sow now? Thought I might try some Dahlias, but are there any veg I can sow now.
Thought I might try some cress. Parsley?
I have a windowsill to fill. And two spare packs of root trainers.
I want some for runner beans in April, so something I can plant out before then.

Reminds me of a piece of advice I received many many years ago and that was " put a packet of impatience ( not impatiens) on your Xmas list"
I may start up in a couple of weeks time but then again I might wait until the end of the month!(Jan)

It is not so much impatience but the need for something to keep me sane.
There is the tax return to finish!! Thrilling!!
And I arrange music so my recorder groups can play over the internet.
I miss my allotment. Maybe if the sun comes out, I will go and get some brussel sprouts.

Just come in from my allotment.
With some glass you could risk some aquadulce broad beans

And some onions? They’re traditionally sown for showing on Boxing Day. A waste of roottrainers though. Broad beans a better use for those.

I have found a seed site on ebay which has some reasonably priced sweet peas, so I think I will grow some more of those.
Prices very reasonable.
