went to my local boot sale at the weekend got a hydrometer and jar a boots wine filter kit and demi for two squid!!!!
Question is will any filter fit as boots dont do home brew supplies any more???
-
They use Harris filter pads which are still easily available, most homebrew sites still list them as boots filter pads & homebrew shops will either already have them or be able to order them for you.
This company charges £4.95 for a pack of 8 filters

If you need it you can download the instruction manual for the boots filter kit from http://www.harrisfilters.com/downloads.htm

BACCYman are you on the wine makers at home forum,i got a similar reply there?
-
No I am not familiar with that forum but it is a very well known filter & loads of people still use them.

If you get ever so stuck with filters then you can use those cone things they use for coffee. Re-cut and layered to fit.
