Title: Fame at last!!

Just had a phonecall telling me that our allotments have won the cup this year, best in the 'over'30 plot' category.

Been asked to go and get my picture took on Monday for the local rag.

Glad to say I played my little bit.

As it happens I met the judges when they were doing there judging and they were surprised that no one entered for 'best individual plot'

Consensus among the plot holders is we don't want the fame in case it brings undesirables on to the plots.

We are quite happy as we are.

Had we been judged individually I think at best I would have come in 2nd or 3rd certainly not 1st such is the quality of some of our plots.

Pity my two neighbours don't get the message!!
