So, what's the biggest tool in your life? Mine is the Garden Fork.
-
Mine's the fork as well............although till I actually read your post I thought I was in the Watershed 8) ;D ;D
-
lol@ star
I voted other, I wouldnt be without my azada
lbb
-
Speedweeder. It looks like a hook with a handle but it grubs out the weeds and also has many other uses. Very efficient, cheap and used (and sold) in Helligan and other National Trust places.
-
for borders & in between rows....is it a trowel? Is it a rake? No, it's a trake!
http://www.cleanairgardening.com/trake.html
had it 4yrs and love it. Beautifully balanced and graded depths on the trowel for planting.
-
Ohhhhh Ollie, like Star thought HMMM watershed Hahaha, mine is me trowel come digger!!.
-
My barbie spade - no its not pink, but all the men call my border spade a barbie spade because it is smaller.
I can still shovel the horse muck with the best of them, though :D
-
I voted other - my hand fork. Lost it this morning and found it in one of the daleks, I must have put it in there. I think all hand tools should be bright colours, not green or brown.
-
My fork and spade. An elderly neighbour RIP. gave them to me. They are both which he called Ladies tools. So unless I can find a man (am I kidding) to use my original fork and spade they are now redundant.
-
The best 'tool' I have is a Shredder.
-
My Grandads old hoe and sharpening stone - proper long handle and keeps really sharp edge, makes me feel good to use it ;D
-
My mattock...so i voted for other.
-
a teaspoon - for potting on small seedlings (if I lose it I feel lost) ;D but apart from that it would have to be a trowel
-
Definitely my fork- wouldn't be without it!
-
Sorry but another one who thought it was a watershedder :P :-* mines my fork, I better go back, I forgot to vote. ;D ;D ;D
-
It has to be a border fork for me. I hardly ever use a spade, bit too heavy for me.

Loks good- Where can I get one?
-
My bronze trowel. http://www.implementations.co.uk/ perfect trowel, and slugs don't like copper. ;)
-
My right angled fork (azada)...versatile and brilliant at clearing bramble stumps and couch grass. And digging! ;D
-
My flask. ;D

I'm not sure where in the UK, but I'd imagine they're on sale over here now :-\...I had mine gifted to me 4yrs ago when, I think, they were quite new in the US.
-
my wife ;D
-
Oh, definitely, my Vitrinox - given to me by my American cousin before his death.
Think of him a dozen times a day. Always there. No better memorial.
Only 2 of 6 functions shown.
-
Howard Gem. Not a prayer without it........ ::)
-
My ratchet secateurs. I do like a bit of nice therapeutic pruning... :D
And just as well, as I had about 30 ft of very overgrown old russian vine to prune back, in my new garden. Nearly there...
-
My flask. ;D
Thermos or Hip?
-
Emaggie where did you say you get that super tool of yours.Weeds are big in Maidenhead
-
paint scraper to clean my spade
-
Got to be my hands !!!
can' do a thing without them ;D
-
I voted other as my favourite tool after all the winter diggings done is my 3 pronged cultivator. The prongs have very wide blades about 1" wide and a long handle. With a little efoort the plot can be well and truely worked quite quickly. Guaranteed to get a Robin, bobin' about.
-
Got to be my hoe. No matter what jobs I have to do, I always make sure I have a 15-20 minute hoe around my plots.

Sold in mostly National Trust properties I think Maideheadtaff. Give it a Google,
Speedweeder. ;)
