Description: This system is slightly different - it still uses slates but they rest on 2x3cm battens that hold the two side T&G planks to the base plank - it's a bit stronger but the platform is lower so there's not so much water depth - this was deliberate to keep the weight down as it is supported by cheap shelf brackets.
You can see the black plastic goes down the side plank, runs level over the batten 'shelf' before dropping to the base plank. The slates rest on the black plastic on the 'shelves'. The 'weed suppress' non-woven fabric is clearer in this shot because it isn't tucked in.
