My shed was entered in the Kitchen Garden Magazine competiton in 2008, and all I had to do was submit several photos and write a short spiel on why my shed was different/special. I presume you are talking about a more local competiton, so you can make up your own rules I guess! ;D

How fab is that!!! Must be a lovely place to chill and survey all your hard work!
As for marking criterion - I guess originality, craftsmanship/ingenuity, functionality (? don't think that's a real word!) of interior-(shelving solutions etc) erm...that's all I have!

I'd like to share my interview (http://www.newburytoday.co.uk/News/FlashNewsPlayer.aspx?articleID=7231&CategoryID=) with my local paper when I came second in the National Shed of the Year Competition 2008, complete with a recital of the sonnet that I wrote it.

Unwashed - how lovely to meet you in the flesh, so to speak!

Your shed is wonderful, as is your ShedSonnet.

You came across as a total Allotment Anorak - brilliant!

Heres mine on a particularly sunny day! Everything you need for life.. camping stove, skip-find CD rack for seeds and plastic cups, Poundsaver plastic drawer thing for little gubbins, tea, coffee/mate, water, a £2.99 Tescos parasol (sorry not very eco but brill), and my bodge job stained glass that was great fun to do.

Love all your pics and resourcefullness.. am starting to think there should be a Shed-lovers dating agency  :-*

Unwashed , well done, do you have a foundation for the  chimney stack?

Hi Mr Smith, thanks very much for that.  The shed itself sits on eight small paving slabs but the chimbly is just built on a 3" concrete hearth cast directly onto the wooden floor of the shed.  It works fine becausae the chimbly doesn't move relative to the shed, but I should have put the paving slabs on something firmer because the whole shed is leaning over a bit now.
