Title: Fuchsia mites

My fuchsias have had distorted growth for 2 years .canI clear the problem up or is it with me forever?each year I grow new plugs.

I started to have this problem 3 years ago, after lots of research i identified at present no cure, remove shrub, burn, sterilize tools.  The other knowing comment I came across 'if your neighbor has it on their Fuchsia without a doubt you'll get it'  I have found some more susceptible than others, my annuals at present dont get effected, but I have ripped up most of my Hardy's

What sort/type of compost are you using?

I ask because you have described a symptom that is similar to that found on other species when they have become affected  by  aminopyralid ( a herbicide) in the compost!

Alternatively do you mulch around your plants with farmyard manure?
