Title: Lidl Tomato Planter
Post by: tricia on March 31, 2019, 13:47:08
I've just bought two of these:
Easy assembly and seems sturdy. 20 litre compost capacity. 8 litre water reservoir. Larger and much cheaper at £14.99 than others available online!

Does the tomato support come with it?

Yes, it's 1.8m tall including the pot. The idea is to add the rings as the plant grows, but I wanted to see just how tall it is assembled. I shall grow a Sungold in one on the patio and one of my paste varieties in the greenhouse in the other one.

Thank you for the picture and description  They do look interesting.  8 litres is a very useful water reservoir too for a long weekend

Also at my local branch, some decent looking young fruit trees at reasonable prices.
Kordia cherry on colt rootstock looked a decent offer. Less good - Jonagold Idared and other apple varieties on M9. Not varieties I would choose, although Jonagold is popular with some people. Various plums on rootstock I didn't recognize.

I have no need for more trees but could not resist a fifteen minute "browse". Worth a look if you are going by.
