Title: 1st ringcraft class last night
Post by: OliveOil on August 01, 2007, 08:39:18
Took Smudge to his first ringcraft class last night, he was fine until he was in the line up next to a 5mth old bearded collie which took one look at him, he screamed, yelped and ran behind rosies legs crying. Poor thng - he liked playing with the 14wk old Pug though.

It was a great socialisation experience for him and Rosie learnt alot.

His first show will be at Newark 3rd November.

Silly me forgot the camera but I'll take it next week :-D

Its a show training class - they learn how they need to walk around the ring.. they learn how to 'stack', standing on a table for the judge adn they learn how to do an individual show for the judge.  They also socialise with different dogs so learn how to deal with new experiences and noisy dogs barking.

Crufts here we come  ;D

Ah I see  ;D My collie-cross 'stacks' quite well on the kitchen table. He's always nicking the cat's food!
