Title: Test of new server

As So many people responded to my request for help testing the new server, I though I would post details of it here.

Remeber this is a test forum, so any posts entered will not be saved.

Try it out, let me know, via this thread - or a thread I'll start on the other site.

I am particularly interested in any speed / performance problems.

Still faster, but not so marked when downloading images - but that's not a surprise with so many being links to "off-site" sources.

On my elderly slow machine it made a big difference.

PS - WOW! Reply to a new post on the new server is extraordinarily fast!

Post by: Hugh_Jones on February 25, 2004, 01:48:42: Seems to work just as well as the present site, except for two occasions when I used the back button and got the "This page not available" page, but on each occasion another touch of the back button solved the problem.

Definitely a bit faster tho`.

All the threads / pictures etc from about 5 days ago are on the test server.

It may be a little faster as less people are using it concurrently.
