For the first time ever, the top bud of all cucumbers has gone cotton-woolly & given up. No sign of pest.

You don't seem to be having much luck this year.  You had another problem in an earlier post.  It is so devastating when a plant you have nurtured dies.

Sorry to hear about your "cotton woolly end wilt".  ???

I hope its not contagious to your other plants.
