Title: Snowball turnip.
Post by: digmore on March 15, 2014, 15:31:48
Put some seeds in pots last Sunday, using M3 as bulk and Jacks Magic just to set seeds, wetted well and sat in tray with 1/2ins of water in bottom. Looked today, 100% success. Have noticed the difference between seed growth in M3 as to general potting compost. Waiting to see how growing cycle continues using M3.

Interesting, must admit I just use a general multi-purpose compost which can be a bit of a disappointment.

Snowball turnips on the dinner plate tomorrow, turned out lovely.

I realise it's a while since this was posted on, but between keeping them wet enough to germinate and flea beetle I struggle every year with turnips. What's M3 when it's at home, please?

Thanks,

Adrian
