Title: Scam phone calls
Post by: Digeroo on March 13, 2019, 11:09:09
I am getting a lot of scam calls, up to 4 per day which say there is something wrong with my internet.

BT has a new scam reporting website.
https://bt.com/help/scams/

Though BT are not helping because you cannot copy the address from the task bar.

The above link doesn't work.
The BT site for reporting scam calls etc is - https://www.bt.com/help/home/scams/

Thank you Nick For some reason I could not copy and paste it, and my copying skills are not very hot.

Lets hope they can do something about all the calls.  They are now always a recorded message, I think they got fed up with being sworn at.

It seems the same scam is being used by email!

I received a bill for over £100 for my telephone bill and I don't use BT

I just deleted it right away!

Report nuisance/scam/spam to the ICO - Information Commissioner's Office.

https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/nuisance-calls-and-messages/

You will need to note the date and time of the call, a number it came from if available, and who they 'said' they were.

If they can they will take action against the perps.

Also say if you are with the TPS.
