Title: Camellia.. pest or desease please ?

  Sons Camellia has the weirdest infestation I have ever seen !     :o

  Under the leaves are a mass of 3cm long,   ' oblong ' white fluffy patches  --  white
    as snow.    I rubbed some with my thumb - ugh, messy,  but thought I could see
    a dot of something ?

    If anyone knows what this is - would be very pleased to hear from you,    ???

seen something like it, don't know what it was  ???
were they like white, oblong fluffy tubes?

  Thanks TG, but pictures didn't show what I saw  ---   still gob smacked !

   More like what you described manics, don't know about tubular---   more like oblong flat

   and very white !

   Spooky !

    Think it must be ' bug ' infestation --  of what sort , do not know,

     Did Google but couldn't get anywhere,

I put in insect eggs camellia images..it's amazing the pests there are  :o ;D
