Title: Wormwood (Artemesia) - where can I plant it?

Hi all. I planted some wormwood seeds, and the little plantlets are doing nicely in pots. I would like to plant them out now - in fact, I have to, before I go away on holiday. But I've heard that their insecti-herbi-cidal qualities can be bad news for other plants near to them. What can I plant them amongst? What must I definitely NOT plant them near? Bit of a conundrum!
Can they go near roses? Being glaucous and, I presume, somewhat drought tolerant, I'd like to put them in the brick planter that two rose bushes live in. Would that work?

Hi  I have planted mine in the black buckets that you can get from supermarkets. I made holes about two inches up the side, so a small amount of water stays in the bottom. the buckets are lined up along my path. (When planted on the plot, one plant grew six foot tall and six feet in each direction. )
