Title: The quest for the best continues...... chillis next
Post by: ceres on November 04, 2008, 11:08:29: I love chillis, not just the heat but the actual chilli taste. What would all you chilli aficionados recommend as a top taste/heat combo variety? It has to be an outdoor variety but I am in the balmy south-east. Thank you!

i grow and like demon red, prairie fire (both dwarf plants), apache and pinochios nose and would recomend them all

Saddad, thanks! No greenhouse :( so don't think I could risk it in case the whole lot failed - if we get another "summer" like this one, that's entirely likely!

Weedgrower, what's good about each of them?

C'mon chilli-heads! There must be a killerdiller chilli out there just waiting for a place on my plot!

Post by: weedgrower on November 09, 2008, 23:45:29: demon red and priarie fire both pack a punch and dont take up to much room, apache are hot but also sweet and pinochios nose are fairly big and pungent, ideal for making curries
