Title: Keeping non-cordon toms off the ground
Post by: caroline7758 on August 04, 2017, 16:02:04: I'm pleased with my Garden Pearl toms grown outside this year, but they are sprawling over the ground and I found one nibbled by (I presume ) a slug today. Is it worth trying to keep them off the ground,and if so how do you do it?

Yes! Providing it is all above the ground when the weight goes on it

Post by: saddad on August 06, 2017, 21:59:06: I use a really deep mulch... we have regular deliveries from tree surgeons/gardening companies who have shreddings... that works for me.
