Title: Feeding gooseberries and gooseberries in pots
Post by: davholla on February 13, 2013, 21:40:19
This weekend I want to :-
a) move a gooseberry because it is in the wrong place
b) move some to a bigger pot.

What should I feed them and my apple trees on?  Can I do it now?

Right now, some bonemeal wouldn't hurt them, once the growth gets going then something with nitrogen, BFB is sensible, once they're setting fruit some tomato feed wouldn't go amiss...

BFB = BLood Fish and Bone meal... a fairly well balanced organic fertiliser, I use it for almost everything...BLood gives it a quick nitrogen release, the fishmeal has nitrogen and potash  and bonemeal is long-release nitrogen and a bit of phosphate...
