Post by: Duke Ellington on December 30, 2014, 15:26:48
A new show "SHOW ME YOUR GARDEN" starts on Sunday SKY 1 10PM - hopefully it will be better than the second series of the Great Allotment Challenge  :BangHead: which starts this Friday on BBC 2.

Anyone watch the allotment challenge.  At least Joe Swift had a real allotment, although we did criticize him at the time.  Thought it was OK, now I know what the format is. Went to my allotment yesterday and it looked a bit sad, weeds everywhere and even the curly kale had been eaten.  Roll on summer.  Sun was shining but it was cold in the wind so just had a quick look round. Will watch Show my your garden, which sounds good.

No Sky TV here so will miss that one !
Taped the allotment challenge thought that if I treat it as light entertainment it might be okay?

I wasn't that taken with the first episode.  3 couples looking round each others gardens and marking them out of 100. Didn't get much in the way of ideas, and didn't think any of the gardens were that impressive.  Maybe I'm getting old and/or the camera angles didn't do the garden's justice ... perhaps we should buy a Drone and fly around making some suburban garden videos? :D
