Title: Which free Ad blocker works
Post by: kt. on June 04, 2014, 22:03:55
Could anybody please recommend a decent free ad-blocker to download for internet explorer.  We get 3-4 pop ups for every click on most websites & its rather annoying.

I recommend checking for malware too - that many pop ups probably means you have some malicious software in your system somewhere. I use a free virus program from Panda which seems to work well.

Agree with Silverleaf, you are infected with Malware, no doubt about it.  Get Malwarebytes or HitmanPro 3 and make sure your AV is bang up todate,  ALso check your pop up blocker is activated in your browser.

Heh, yeah, classic "User error".

"Hey, I installed that adblocker you said was good but I still get loads of pop ups!"

Did you turn it on?

"Ummmm, say what now?  Oh, ummm, no...."

*facepalm*
