Title: Who ate little leo ?
Post by: gillianbc on April 20, 2004, 23:22:39
My poor Dorinicum Little Leo has been eaten by some beasty.  It looks like earwig damage but I would have thought it was a bit early for them.  I set a plant pot trap and didn't catch any earwigs.  I also tried a trap of a piece of corrogated cardboard at the base and there was a little fella under there today. Similar to a vine weevil but a bit smaller and slimmer.  All his legs were at from his abdomen rather than lower down his body.  Could he have been the culprit ?  I do have a lot of snails, but I would have expected them to go for the leaves.  I get very few slugs (thanks to the nematodes I used last year).(http://www.btinternet.com/~bladenclark/pictures/DorinicumLittleLeo.jpg)
