Title: Mint rust
Post by: gray1720 on May 04, 2020, 09:08:05
It seems that I (well, my mint) have mint rust.

Any suggestions - do I bin the lot, grin and bear it and hope it doesn't get too bad, or what?

As mint isn't hard to get hold of... I'd suggest grubbing it out and burning it and growing in a different place.

You could try taking "Tip Cuttings"

When I grew Dahlias and on the odd occasion they become virused (There's that word again :BangHead:) we would take tip cuttings

Apparently the top couple of inches of new growth has yet to succumb to the virus so once rooted you have a non-virused plant.

Perhaps the system might work with Mint????

Probably worth a try....what have you to lose?
