Title: Choosy beetles??
Post by: tim on September 12, 2004, 17:35:11
Why?

Half the rows of kale have survived - the other half, progressively disappear. = Tim

Now that is really weird Tim!!  ??? I wonder why they've only gone for one half.  :-\ You've treated them all the same way I take it?
Let us know if you find out the reason why they've left some alone but munched the others to shreds.

Eileen.

P.S. What kind of beetle is it that's doing the damage - do you know?

Don't know. I was so fed up that I didn't check. I did see a cabbage white caterpillar down there, so it might have been them. Given the speed of destruction, more likely cabbage weevils than flea beetles. My own stupid fault for not fleecing! = Tim
