Title: Tomato cuttings - latest date to plant out???
Post by: Lost-The-Plot on June 26, 2008, 16:52:53
A month or so ago, I found a 3 inch rogue side shoot on my alicante and decided to pot in up in a plastic bag. It is now looking very healthy in a pot outside, about 12 inches tall but yet to have flowers. I really got a thrill from doing this and would like to do some more but my question is - what's the latest I can plant toms and get some fruit? i don't mind if they don't all ripen at the end of the season as we need some for green tomato chutney. I should add that all my toms are growing outside as we have no glass in our greenhouse yet!

Mine aren't flowering yet either, but I expect plenty of toms by the end of the season. Plant it and see.
