Hello all.
I was hoping to put some dahlia tubers and gladioli bulbs in at the allotment but with the wet weather I've not been able to prepare the area for them. Could I start them off in pots and transplant them? I could possibly make pots from newspaper if that would help? Any advice gratefully received.
Regards

yes you can and it gives you the advantage of getting them in the place you want them ie to get the best view any large pot will do paper is fine id put them quite deep in the pots not sure where you live if youll be leaving them in or digging them up in autumn you can even take cutting from your dahlias place them in a pot as they shoot slice the shoot and a tiny piece of tuber pot this on and it will grow and flower this year hope this helps
