Title: Two questions about feeding
Post by: caroline7758 on April 12, 2012, 16:38:06
Firstly, what's the best thing to feed my garlic with now? Will FBB be ok? Or comfrey juice from last year?

And secondly, I'm trying to give my non-edible garden a bit more TLC this year. What is a good general "boost" for a neglected garden? It's quite packed with plants (mainly perennials plus a few shrubs) so something I could water in would be easiest, otherwise I've got FBB or chicken manure pellets.

If you have chicken pellets..garlic would like that too..but just a 'little' sprinkling'.
BFB is good 'booster' for anything and everything.. ;)

Daft question, my beds are all mulched with straw so do I need to remove it before putting BFB down or can I just sprinkle on top and water in?

Sprinkle round each plant, but not on the plant as it will burn it, the rain will wash it in

My garlic was looking a little sad, it seam to be a bit yellow at the tips and not putting on much growth, I gave it some liquid sheeps manure and its reallying around now phew! planted over a hundered may have got a bit carried away :-\
