My spuds have mostly flowered and have produced small round green "fruit" where the flowers grew. What are they? Do I need to do anything about them? Is it normal or do I need treatment? :)
-
They are potato fruits but ignore them they are very poisonous.

ok, thanks, should I let them fall to the ground or pick and compost them?
-
I leave mine but I suppose if they fall to the ground there is a possibility that the plant may self seed. You will then get lots of strange potato plants.

Heres another spud related question. I was late planting my spuds cos of lateness in receiving the allotment. Now what I want to know is, can I pull my non early spuds early? I don't mind small yeilds etc as I have planted far more than I can eat and have no storage space ( 4th floor flat! :( ) . Actually, I should say I have pulled some already and intend to eat them tommorrrow night. I just want reassurance that they wont kill me! ;)
Can any help?

Yes, they will be fine to eat. As you say the weight of the crop will be reduced but they will taste very nice.
