Title: healthy eating
Post by: ACE on April 01, 2005, 08:25:05
With the government getting concerned with the overweight problem and kids eating junk food. They have now decided that all allotments will be provided free of charge, providing that the users dedicate at least 75% of the plot to vegetables.

Get in touch with your local council staight away to  register your interest as the existing plots will be taken very quickly. Also those allotment holders that do not use their plots to the full extent will have them halved or taken back and given to a genuine user.

Only 25% of the plot may be under weed suppression ground cover at any one time.

Fly tipping is expected to be on the increase as people with old carpets will no longer be able to get dispose of them in the usual way.
