Local Turkish shop sells them by the pallet - last time I looked in TFC they were 3/£1

I noticed last year that tinned toms had gone up a lot. I try & get organic now, they're in tomato juice & no citric acid.  & I can get them for £1 sometimes less.

We buy Sainsbury's premium brand in a waxed box type thing.
They are really good and not watery,  no idea of the price as I do not do the shopping but will try Lidl if you recomend them macmac.

I like Lidl tinned toms too.  I like their Passata di Pomodoro as well really nice and thick.

Yes Lidl and Aldi come out top in several reviews.  So which ever is nearest.  Quality is good.
Sometimes there is an offer in other supermarkets of 3x£1 and I get some.

I've been buying Lidl's tinned chopped tomatoes for years, also their olive oil and cheese and butter and ham.... and aubergines and peppers and onions and French cider and wine........

Yep Lidl's. Good thick juice. I think they are made in Italy. Here I pay 38 euro cents for them....

Lidl here too.

And also organic dried tomatoes from the health food shop.  I chop a few of them roughly, place in a cereal bowl, add a mug full of boiling water and leave for 10 minutes before using in dishes.

Lidl's tomato puree in tubes is also good to add a more 'tomatoey' flavour.

I also use tomatoes which had to be taken off green when the plants developed blight.  The first to ripen on the windowsill are usually nice to eat, the later ones are fine for cooking.

But nothing, NOTHING tastes as intense as frozen tomato pulp from choice tomatoes from one's own greenhouse. I keep some specially for that drab drear period from late January to early March to remind us of what summer really is.

Yes, Tosh - but our tomatoes have all been blighted so we're all looking for alternatives  :(. My passata machine won't come out of the cupboard this year, so I'm sorry to have to say  :'( - it's Lidl for me too!

Hear, hear!  And here's hoping that we get some toms!

But for commercial ones, another vote for Lidl from me.
