Can anyone recommend a good site in South London - not to far from Clapham.

Thanks

Can't help you Lotty as I am not in London.  Hope you find a site though as it is a brilliant hobby to have,

Chloe

I used to live in clapham, always wanted an allotment even then but they didn't seem to be as popular there as other areas of London or up North.  Guess that land is at a premium.  Try the local council or National Allotment Society.

The Collins London street guide marks where allotments are.  Look at the pages for your area and then have a look at what you find "for real".

Did you manage to track down a lottie site near Clapham?  We had our family allotment at Ridge Road in Sutton, a bit far from Clapham.....20 minutes by car as the crow flies I guess...after struggling through Tooting!  However, there are a few lottie sites in Sutton, and the one at Ridge Road had masses of vacant plots, however they were a jungle of brambles!
