Our little pond is bubbling with tadpole soup and has been for a week now.
It's full of frogs :)
Loads of froggies and loads of spawn for about a week now up here in North Wales. But, but but..... I'm in North Wales too. Still can't see any, but I'll have another look around tomorrow.
The frogs in my garden don't stand a chance a fox kills them and leaves them on the lawn, a pity really. It's more likely to be cats... :-X
thought the fish had gobbled mine before i could save any But to day the sun has brought them out and have a few not known if frog or toad as i had both laid in the pond
I've got lots of tadpoles have had for week! When will they turn into frogs or toads? I do feed them every day and they seem happy !!

Oh..they are far too early to get swimming again....they are going to freeze their 'pants' soon! Female frogs do hibernate above water so perharps they've been keeping warm together..preparing for their 'girls night out' that is happening in few weeks time :glasses9:
Oo Oo Oo, I have just remembered we have a pond here at the new place, am I too late to go egg hunting so I can transport some ?

found a long strand of toad spawn a couple of days ago ,.hope the fish are finding the weathers too cold to eat it yet , as its still there to day :blob7:
Last couple of days there has been some chesty males making loud and deep calls for females...almost work for me too :icon_cheers::toothy10: Whatever turns you on!
If they die at this stage, the black nucleus (if that's the word) turns white so its quite easy to tell. :-)
