Title: Growing swede in pots

Have anyone grown their swede or turnip in pots before transplanting in the ground And if so was it successful ?

i always grow my swede and turnips in modules before i plant them out it always works for me  just try not to let them get rootbound in the pots and they should be fine hope this helps dont forget swede need reducing light levels to grow so dont start them off untill june             on the other hand turnips grow anytime of the year

I also start my swede in plug trays and my beetroot. Always works well for me

I'm another fan of starting swede and beetroot off in modules before transplanting to the plot. They do really well grown this way and as a bonus, it gives the crop a headstart against weed seedlings germinating.
