Title: slugs and snails

can i feed slugs and snails to my chickens? i only just got some chickens and it would be handy if i could.

Yes - by all accounts they love them.  Some people kill them first but I would have thought that would take the fun out of it.  I suggest you lob them in and watch them make a dash for the fence.  If they make it before the chickens get them  ;D, you could always lob them back.

Oh dear ... ::) :P

Yesterday, I did the unthinkable and put down some blue slug pellets.  :o 

I was fed up with my rudbeckias being eaten by them.  So, this morning I found 5 of the bu**ggers begging for mercy.  They were not dead but I chucked them on the heap all the same.

Hi All,
         I have just received an update from The Organic Gardening Catalogue.

They have reduced the price of Nemaslug from £12-50 to £10-50 if anyone is interested in trying it out.

I feed slugs to our hens, they love em. You couldn't if you used slug pellets or next door used them.
