How can I beat it. Lovely potatoes this year, riddled with scab. Variety? Soil conditioner? Cannot seem to win. Help

What was your soil conditioner?
When did you last lime the area you grew these potatoes in?
My first impulse was to think of your soil pH.
I have the feeling that your soil was too alkaline!
More details of your soil treatment e.g rotation,liming, previous cropping might help us get to the bottom of this problem.
